We apply circular economy principles in the construction process and prioritize solutions that enable the maximum value extraction and reuse of existing materials.
Where possible, we use lower-temperature asphalt mixtures and technologies that reduce energy consumption and CO₂ emissions.
We have also successfully participated in a joint research project by Viimsi Municipality, the Government Office of Estonia, and TalTech focused on reducing the carbon footprint of asphalt mixtures through the introduction of lignin.
Reducing environmental impact begins with planning. In the preparation of works, we assess the impact of technology, transport, and material use, and prioritize solutions that reduce the consumption of natural resources and emissions.
We use modern construction equipment and comply with applicable emission standards and occupational safety requirements.

TREF Nord AS management systems are certified by Bureau Veritas and comply with international standards:
Certified systems ensure consistent quality of work, effective management of environmental risks, and a safe working environment.
Infrastructure projects impact the environment and society for decades. Therefore, we follow a life-cycle-based approach in our operations, taking into account both the effects of construction and the impact of subsequent use and maintenance.
Our goal is to contribute to the development of Estonia’s infrastructure in a way that combines technical expertise, environmental awareness, and responsible business practices.
